The Mathematics program maintains a tradition of excellence within its mission
to prepare problem solvers for the future.
Students learn in a supportive environment in
which faculty
and staff value the worth of the individual.
Students have opportunities outside the classroom including
internships and the activities of the Math Club and Pi Mu
Epsilon, the national math honor society.
Many faculty
are active in research that includes a tradition
of involving qualified undergraduates in their work.
Mathematics creates opportunities for students to enter a wide variety of
careers.

Students can select a program leading to a Bachelor
of Arts degree or one leading to a Bachelor
of Science degree.
A minor in mathematics can
add value to any major.
Within the mathematics program exists a sequence of pure and applied statistics
courses.
Scheduling
information is available to help students
select the right courses
at the right times.
Many options exist for graduate work, including an accelerated
program in Computational Mathematics.
